A Taco Bell in Hialeah, Florida has fired an employee for refusing to serve an English speaking customer.
The customer, Alexandria Montgomery, stopped at the Taco Bell around 10:30 pm last Wednesday night and tried placing an order at the drive-through window.
After having trouble ordering at the speaker, Montgomery cruised up to the window where she was met with rejection. The girl working the window kept repeating that there was no who speaks English there. She also stated, “this is Hialeah, I’m sorry.”
Another employee later jumped in and instead of helping the customer with her order, threatened to call the police.
Taco Bell has since fired the employee in the video and issued this satatement: “This does not meet our customer experience expectations. We have worked quickly to resolve with the customer to ensure this doesn’t happen again … This individual no longer works for the brand.”
Taco Bell also apologized to Montgomery and offered a $100 gift card.
